Designers are feeling hesitant to share their work online, mostly due to fears of being seen as unoriginal or judged by the people who see the work.

The brand identity for Cashyst was awarded two Gold Awards in the ODA, one for Brand Identity and one for Brand Collateral

Goals are important (you can set goals at any time of the year and they're just as achievable btw), but you don't have to have them all set by January 1st.

Anonymous Confession: "How do I know what advice to follow online and what advice is bs? Everyone says different things and it is just confusing"

Everybody tells you that it is so important to niche down in your business. And I think that that's true; it is very important to niche down in your business. But niching down isn't necessarily what you think it is. Niching does not always mean that you are limiting yourself to only doing one particular thing, as much as it sounds like that. 

Anonymous Confession: “I really hate the "you have to book $10k clients" mindset. I do think that designers need to charge their worth and that we need to elevate our industry but it's not all about the money. Some of us are quite happy sitting in a middle tier if it means less anxiety and a better work life balance."

Anonymous Confession: “I see designers online talking about getting their ideal clients, which are the ones who pay you and leave you to do the job. I've never had a client like that. Is this bad?”

Anonymous Confession: “When I have client calls, I price the project based on how annoying I think the client is going to be during the process.”

Anonymous Confession: “I am "faking it til I make it" by pretending to have actual clients.. it's gotten so far that other designers are starting to ask about where I get clients & how to talk to clients on disco calls”

Anonymous Confession: "I was bullied into oblivion by other creators (not actually bullied, but it kind of felt like it) when I just started out as an artist and designer and I worked on Fiverr.”
