1. INTRODUCTION

These Terms of Submission (“Terms”) govern the submission of anonymous confessions and anonymous opinions (“Submissions”) to the Brand Your Brain project (“Project”) and its related platforms, including but not limited to the podcast, confessions form, opinions form, email newsletter, social media channels, and marketing materials. By submitting a confession or opinion, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not submit a response.

2. Ownership AND Permission to Use

2.1 By submitting a confession or opinion, you grant Bethany Robinson (Host of Brand Your Brain herein after referred to as 'Host') a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, non-exclusive, transferable right and licence to use, reproduce, modify, publish, distribute, and display your Submission in any format, including but not limited to podcast episodes, email newsletters, social media posts, and other promotional or editorial content.
2.2 You waive any moral rights to the Submission under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 (UK), meaning you cannot request credit, removal, or alterations once submitted.
2.3 You retain no ownership over your Submission after submission. Host has full editorial control and may choose not to use, edit, shorten, or modify any Submission as deemed necessary.
2.4 You acknowledge that your Submission may be shared publicly, and you cannot later request removal or anonymity beyond what is already provided at the time of submission.

3. Anonymity AND Confidentiality

3.1 Submissions (including confessions and opinions) are collected anonymously. No personally identifiable information (such as name or email) is requested or stored.
3.2 While the Host takes reasonable steps to maintain anonymity, you are responsible for ensuring that your Submission does not contain identifiable details that could reveal your identity or the identity of others.
3.3 The Host does not guarantee complete anonymity and is not liable for any direct or indirect consequences that arise from your Submission being shared.

4. Content Restrictions

4.1 You agree that your Submission (whether a confession or opinion) will not contain:

• Hate speech, discrimination, or incitement of violence based on race, gender, sexuality, disability, religion, or other protected characteristics under the Equality Act 2010 (UK).

• Defamatory or false statements that could harm the reputation of an individual or business under UK defamation law (Defamation Act 2013).

• Personal attacks, threats, or harassment of any individual or entity.

• Illegal content, including but not limited to promotion of unlawful activities.

• Sensitive personal information about yourself or others (e.g., medical history, financial details).

• Commercial promotions, spam, or unsolicited advertising.

4.2 Any Submission violating these guidelines will not be published. If a Submission is later found to be in breach of these terms, the Host reserves the right to remove any reference to it across all platforms without notice.

5. No Compensation or Consideration

5.1 Submissions are made voluntarily and without expectation of compensation, credit, or recognition.
5.2 Brand Your Brain does not provide financial, legal, or professional advice, and any discussion of a Submission on the Podcast is not a substitute for professional guidance.

6. Right to Modify or Remove Submissions

6.1 Host reserves the right to:

• Decline to use a Submission without providing a reason.

• Edit or modify a Submission for clarity, length, or appropriateness.

• Remove any shared Submission from its platforms at its discretion.
   

7. Liability Disclaimer

7.1 You acknowledge that your Submission is provided at your own risk, and Host is not responsible for any consequences resulting from the publication of your Submission.
7.2 Host does not endorse or verify the accuracy of any Submission.
7.3 Host and its representatives are not liable for any loss, damage, or claims arising from your Submission, including any reputational, emotional, or financial impact.
